I have my machine set up to log off after ten minutes of idle time. That didn't happen, and the silly thing stayed on while I was gone for almost six hours. The only thing happening was that Adobe Reader was not closed out. There was nothing in Reader, however, and I wasn't connected to any PDF on a website.

From your description, I understand that you want to force users to logoff from the file server or SBS server at a scheduled time. If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know. Log on automatically after log off
On my start menu, it used to say just "Log Off" But now it says Log Off (wife's name). This results in all the cookies showing her name. The cookies used to just say our last name which is how we set upWindows 98 SE originally. I know how to remove Log Off completely but that isn't what I want to do.

I was advised (can't find my original post - thanks to unnamed benefactor!) to not use 'X' at top of screen to disconnect, and rather use the Start, then Logoff option. I'm having problems with one user's logoff events killing a child process of a service running as another user. Specifically, here's the setup: 1) I have a service configured to run as DOMAIN\userA. It starts automatically and launches two processes. 2) I log onto the machine running that service as DOMAIN\userB.
